So, you have decided to join in on the Adventure of Scouting!  Welcome to our new members, and welcome back to those of you who have returned for another year of fun, friendship, and challenge!
The 1st Oshawa Scout Group meets at Centennial Albert United Church and is currently preparing vigorously for our Centenary Celebration in 2009...yes, the 1st Oshawa Scout Group is fast approaching our 100th Anniversary, and we are proud to call ourselves the longest running Scout group in Oshawa!
The 2007/08 Scouting year promises to be another year chocked full of great activities for us to look forward to participating in together which will include our annual participation in the Santa Claus Parade, swimming night, and banquet.  This year we will be fortunate enough to once again participate in the City of Oshawa's Remembrance Day Parade, and we certainly will have some new activities up our sleeves!
Naturally, each of our sections will also have a variety of outings planned, and are anxious to present a fabulous program for all the children in our charge.  We can't wait to learn new things together and share our love of Scouting with each Beaver, Cub and Scout that passes our doors!

Lord Robert Stevenson Smythe Baden-Powell created the world-wide Movement of Scouting to challenge, excite, foster a love of the outdoors and create a deep spiritual satisfaction within us all.  Scouting has been going strong for 100 years, and we strive to continue his legacy.  Be prepared for all the excitement that Scouting can bring!
WELCOME TO THE 1ST OSHAWA SCOUT GROUP!
